What changed, and when

States change fees quietly. Most guides never notice. This is every change we've recorded, dated to when it took effect — so you can tell how current we actually are instead of taking our word for it.

  1. Louisiana Upcoming

LLC formation fee rises from $100 to $125, and the annual report from $30 to $35, under Act 921 of the 2026 Regular Session (HB 908). Confirmed against the bill’s own legislative digest, which prints the present-law figures beside the proposed ones.

  2. Delaware In effect

Annual LLC tax raised from $300 to $400 under House Bill 400. Certificate of Formation fee now $110.

  3. Kansas Verifying

Secretary of State announced further business fee reductions. Exact figures not yet published — our report fee may be stale.

  4. Kansas In effect

Annual report replaced by a biennial Information Report; formation fee cut to $85 online.

  5. Texas In effect

Franchise tax no-tax-due threshold raised to $2,650,000 for report years 2026–27, from $2,470,000.

  6. Pennsylvania In effect

Decennial report replaced with an annual report ($7). Dissolution risk for non-filers phases in from 2027.

  7. Nevada Verifying

Recorded, not changed: Nevada charges a $150 Annual List AND a separate mandatory $200 State Business Licence every year — $350 recurring, the highest in the dataset, despite the state’s low-cost reputation.

  8. Maryland In effect

Verified that the $300 annual report fee is still in force. A January 2022 proposal to eliminate it for online filers was never enacted; the current 2026 Form 1 still prints $300.
